Toynami Voltron Lion Force Collector's set (plastic)

Hello and Happy weekend everyone!
Today, I am going to make a review of the Toynami Voltron Lion Force Collector's set (plastic).
As we all know, Voltron is a giant robot made out of 5 combined robot lion.(..duhh)
Well, this version of mine are the plastic ones. Toynami have made two versions I think. The metal and plastic version, well mine, obviously is plastic version. And off course, the metal versions are more expensive than the plastic version.
Well this is how the packaging looks like:

This is how it looks after removing the front cover
A very nice packaging in my opinion. There it has labels for each one of the lions, Shield and the iconic sword included. As seen below, the toy itself is nicely put inside the polystyrene. A collector's items indeed.
The first lion, The leader, NO 1, The Black Lion, forms most of the voltron itself, the head and chest.

A Size comparison with the TAMIYA's Super Emperor model kit, to give you an idea of its size.

Next, The NO 2-Red Lion and the NO 3-Green Lion. These two are the smallest among the 5, and they both forms Voltron's "Arms and Torso" says in the animated film. Ehem! Correct me if I'm wrong.

Last but not least, the last 2 lion, NO 4-Blue Lion, and NO 5-Yellow Lion. These two forms the legs.
Again, a size comparison. These two lions are bigger and longer than the previous 2, and also longer from the Great Black Lion.
 Ready, GO!!
Lets combine them to Form VOLTRONN!!!! LOL
GATTAAIIII!!! (in japanese it means combine, well, correct me if I'm wrong..XD)
The VOLTRON is now formed! The transformation is quite simple actually, just follow the instruction manual included.
 Voltron's face

To get the idea of how big this guy is, this is the size comparison with the Voyager class G1 repaint Movie Starscream which I got back in the year of 2007.

A size comparison with my random Lego man.

Well, as conclusion, this toy is worth to buy for die hard fan of voltron. I am not really a hardcore fan of voltron but I really like this set because of it's details, pose ability, and quality. The only thing that always bug me is that it would be very nice if they made this toy with cockpits. A new version of Voltron is coming in stores by now made by Mattel company, it has bigger size, with cockpits and the pilot included. Hmm..If only I can have that, I would love to compare it with this version made by toynami.

Special thanks to my Classmate Josef anak Jonip for the camera and pics.

Well, that is all for now, More reviews coming! Happy weekend and have a nice day everyone.More reviews coming next week! Goodbye and be Blessed everyone!

DASH 02-BURNING SUN

Hello fellow modelers and readers!
Today I am going to review a model kit that is ONCE famous a few years ago. I am very sure that all of you still has this kit in your memory. Here I introduce to you, the DASH 2 burning sun!

Actually this is my second kit, the other one is for assembling and the other one, MISB, well, easy to say, its for my investment. Who say you cant make money from toys? LOL. Anyway, this is how it looks when u crack the baby open..XP:

The cover,
 The chasis,

 The rubber spiky tyres
The Rims

The gears and the dynamo, look closely, this is different from our dynamos back on those days. It is known as the double shaft motor.

The chasis as well, very different from the ones we use to have back then.

Assembled, no stickers applied. I am planning to do a paint job and some body job on this model. I'm busy with my class, so no projects for now.

Here it is assembled. No glues required. Its plain now but in times, it will not. So stay tuned to get tuned LOL.
